On March 17, as part of the Day of Culture and National Traditions, an author's evening of reading the book "Zhurtymnyn zhusan zhyrymyn" was held, dedicated to the work of the poetess, translator, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, laureate of the literary prize named after I. Mambetov, Honorary Citizen of the Shalkar district Gulimai Abishkyzy.

The event was attended by the head of the department of the Aktobe regional department of culture, archives and documentation Nazimat Demeshova, poet, playwright, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Nurlybek Kalauov, poet Indira Kereeva, who expressed their congratulations. During the event, young readers read the poet's poems, discussed customs, traditions and national values.

Cultural workers of the village of Tamdy Nursulu Nurbulatova performed the song "Kyzga tilek" based on the poems of the poetess. A song based on the words of Gulimai Abishkyzy “Ake men bala” was also performed by Kenzheakhmet Zhubaniyazov and his son Alikhan.
