At the S. Baishev Regional Universal Scientific Library, Book Giving Day was celebrated with a special campaign titled “Kitaphanaga kitap syila” dedicated to International Book Giving Day. The event brought together readers, writers, and young people united by their shared love of books and reading.
The main goal of the campaign was to promote reading, highlight the importance of books in people’s lives, and enrich the library’s collection through donations from readers’ personal libraries. The initiative combined charity with culture, creating a meaningful platform for literary exchange and community engagement.
Supporting the library’s initiative, invited authors recited their poems and presented copies of their books as gifts to the library. Their heartfelt performances created a warm and inspiring atmosphere in the reading hall.
Inspired by the poets’ creativity, young participants of the campaign also took part in the celebration. They recited poems by their favorite authors and donated beloved books from their own collections. Many shared personal reflections on how these works had influenced them, emphasizing the lasting impressions left by meaningful reading.
