During the evening, the kuyshi’s descendants — Elmira Basygaraeva, Adil Basygaraev, and Gulbanu Basygaraeva — shared warm memories of their father and expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
Chairman of the Aktobe regional branch of the Republican public association “Kuyshiler Odagy,” kuyshi, teacher, and Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan Talap Edilkhanuly Khamzin spoke about the history behind the creation of the kuy and performed Bakhyt Basygaraev’s composition “Tolkynda.”
The event brought together members of the Aktobe regional branch of “Kuyshiler Odagy,” cultural workers, descendants of the composer, fellow countrymen, teachers and students of higher and specialized educational institutions, and media representatives.
A book exhibition titled “Kazangaptyn Biregei Izbasary” (The Unique Successor of Kazangap) was also presented as part of the event.
