On March 31, as part of the project «Tarikhy Teren Aktobe», a historical evening titled «Turannyn tugyrly tulgasy»
was held, dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the birth of Zhalantos Bakhadur — a statesman, military commander, batyr, and biy.
The guests spoke about the heroic deeds of Zhalantos Bakhadur, who built the Sher-Dor Madrasa (“Lion-Hearted”) in the Registan ensemble, which later became a world-renowned historical and cultural monument, as well as the Tilya-Kori Madrasa (“Gilded”) in Samarkand. Zhalantos Bakhadur came to be known among all Turkic peoples as the «Guardian of Great Architecture».
A well-known regional zhyrau, Demeubay Zholymbetov, performed a zhyr dedicated to «Zhalantos Batyr». The head of a music school and Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Adilbek Sarin, performed the pieces «Er Edige» and «Kishi zhuzdin erlerin».
A book exhibition titled «Tarih tereninen zhetken syr» was presented, and library staff member Ryszhan Karagulova delivered a bibliographic review. During the event, the young poet Amanzhol Islamgali presented video recordings and a photo chronicle dedicated to the life journey and heroic deeds of Zhalantos Bakhadur.
