On August 6, in S. Baishev Aktobe regional scientific universal library held a literary evening "Olen sozdin patshasy" dedicated to the birthday of the poet, educator, thinker, founder of new Kazakh literature, translator and composer Abai Kunanbayev.
Zhanshayeva Bakyt Urmankyzy, a deputy of the Aktobe regional maslikhat, a famous journalist, Abdullina Anar Borankyzy, a master of philology, a teacher of the department of Kazakh philology of the Aktobe regional university named after K. Zhubanov and students took part in this event. Mrs. Bakyt, who recently visited Semey as part of the expedition "From Irgiz to Irgyzbai", shared her impressions with the library readers about the Motherland of Abai. Anar Borankyzy told about A. Bokeikhanov, A. Baitursynov, K. Zhubanov, who first recognized Abai, and talked about the poet's work.
In addition, young readers of the library read the poet's works and songs in Kazakh, Russian and English and sang his songs. At the end of the evening, the director of the library Kuralai Serikovna thanked the guests with memorable gifts.
