On November 9, a song evening was held dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the poet, singer, composer Sary Batakula on the theme “Balasy men Bataktyn, atym - Sary...”.
Sary Batakuly was born in 1863 in the Shalkar district of the Aktobe region. Through his songs, he exposes the injustice and tyranny of his time. Songs such as “Kyz Kosan”, “Tileu-Kabak”, “Dariga”, “Aridau”, “Dunie”, “Song of Sarin when she was driven to Siberia”, “Motherland” excite the human soul and sharpen his imagination. “Saryna’s Song” was used in the first sound feature film in the history of Kazakhstan, “Amankeldi” in 1938.
The purpose of the event is to instill the poetic talent of Sarah Batakula in the hearts of students, develop a culture of speech, learn to appreciate and cherish the art of speech, and learn to love the poet’s poems. Through the poet’s works, awaken a sense of nationalism, instill in people a love for the art of their country.
Participating were the poet-playwright, academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Writers and Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, art critic Nurlybek Kalauov, singer, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Khaidar Otegaliev, head of the Er Edige school of the Aktobe Regional Folk Art Center Adilbek Sarin.
During the event, student of the Aktobe Music College named after A. Zhubanov Bakytkali Bekzhan, students of the Aktobe Humanitarian College Zhannur Zhusipova, Nurzat Sarimova and Chingiskhan Tynyshtyk read a poem by Sarah Batakuly. A bibliographic review of the book exhibition “Zhyr Zhazamyn Zhuregimnen” was also conducted, slides and a videotape were shown. Students of the Er Edige singing school performed a concert program.
