January 18 Aktobe Regional Universal Scientific Library named after S. Baisheva held a literary and musical evening “On Abyzy Garifolla”, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the popular opera singer, composer, actor, musical performer and teacher, national figure of the Kazakh SSR Garifolla Kurmangaliev.
The purpose of the event: to popularize the work of the greatest master of Kazakh song art, Garifolla Kurmangaliev, to form national values based on the cognitive, aesthetic, spiritual and moral education of the younger generation.
At the evening they talked about the life and work of singer G. Kurmangaliev. His student, member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Buribai Karten, shared his memories of his teacher, spoke about his creativity, performing skills and merits in the field of theater and song art. Head of department of Aktobe Music College named after. A. Zhubanova Orynbekova Zhuldyz Kenesalykyzy noted that Garifolla Kurmangaliev knew very well the work of poets and folk composers of the Western region, performed songs of Mukhit, the famous Shaikh and Shyntas.
Teacher of the traditional music department of the Aktobe Music College named after. A. Zhubanova Makuov Serik performed songs by G. Kurmangaliev. Lecturer at the Department of Music and Choreography, Aktobe Regional University. K. Zhubanova, performer of traditional songs, soloist of the regional Philharmonic named after. G. Zhubanova Abdirova Gaziza Alpysbaevna performed songs by G. Kurmangaliev, written to the words of G. Kairbekov “Onshi Dausysy”, “Salem”. Students of the traditional song department of the Aktobe Music College named after. A. Zhubanov performed the songs: Zhenis Akimzhan “Nurzhamal”, Nazarbayeva Akerke “Suigen Zhar”, Zhubat Dauren “Maktan Etemin”, Zhumaev Ali Sary’s song “Bataktyn Sarysy”, Zhumagulova Daria “Guriev”, Seytova Tomiris “Oralim”.
During the evening, a video was shown and the book exhibition “Oneri Orken Duldil Anshi” was presented.
At the end of the evening, the director of the library, Khakimova Sulushash Maksimkyzy, thanked the guests for their participation in the event and for their contribution to preserving and enhancing the musical heritage of our people.
The event was attended by students of the traditional song department of Aktobe Music College named after A. Zhubanova, members of the TALANT-light interest club, library readers.
