To mark the 90th anniversary of the people's writer of Kazakhstan, playwright, translator Saken Zhunusov, a literary evening “Korkem sozdin kosemi” was held.
Purpose of the event: To get acquainted with the work of the famous writer, playwright, translator Saken Zhunusov, to reveal his creative individuality, to develop personal qualities in the younger generation through the means of fiction.
Saken Zhunusov is a famous Kazakh writer with a masterly command of the literary word. It had its own high ideological and artistic level, a sharp plot, colorful, expressive language. He stood out among his contemporaries for his active civic position. During his life, the master of artistic expression wrote dozens of literary and scientific works, which were included in the golden fund of Kazakh creativity.
The writer’s works center on past and present life in all its complexity, interesting destinies, and historical events. The heroes of his books are distinguished by their desire to search for truth, nobility and purity of thoughts; many of his works have been translated into foreign languages.

At the evening they talked about the life and work of the writer, and dedication poems (arnau) were read. There was an excursion (online) to the museum of the same name, dedicated to the life and work of the people's writer of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR, Saken Zhunusov, at the school-lyceum No. 18 named after Saken Zhunusov, Kokshetau.
At the event, the book exhibition “Kazakhtyn Seken Serisi – Kara Sozdin Oresi” was presented, a bibliographic review was conducted, and a fragment of the film “Zamanai”, filmed in 1997, was shown.
The event was attended by teachers and students of higher and secondary educational institutions of the city, and library readers.
