“Tagylymdy tulga”

  On April 25, employees of the Aktobe Regional Universal Scientific Library named after. S. Baishev on the basis of the Aktobe Higher Medical College named after. Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova held an educational evening “Tagylymdy tulga”, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the epidemiologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, Professor Ishanbay Karakulov Karakulov Ishanbay - scientist-epidemiologist, public and statesman, doctor of medical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, honored worker of science of the Kazakh SSR and Karakalpak Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He took an active part in the creation and development of a network of treatment-and-prophylactic and sanitary-epidemiological institutions, higher medical educational institutions and research institutes of the republic. In 1946, he organized the Department of Epidemiology at the Alma-Ata Medical Institute, which he headed until 1988. On its basis, he completed more than 300 scientific, popular science and journalistic works. Under his leadership, 28 doctoral and master's theses were defended. Professor Karakulov's students work in many regional, city and district medical institutions of the republic, as well as in scientific-pedagogical and scientific-practical departments of the country.
This event was aimed at instilling in young people a sense of patriotism, nurturing knowledge, talent, and morality through the merits and works of a scientist.
Previously, the readership became acquainted with I. Karakulov’s book “Kyryk surak”, first published in 1983 by the publishing house “Zhalyn”, and in 1989 with the book “Syrlasu”, an expanded version.
Guests of the event were Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M. Ospanova B.A. Moldin, teacher of special disciplines at Aktobe Higher Medical College named after Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova.T. Tobazhanova, head of the department of “scientific research of nature and ecology” of the Aktobe Regional Museum of History and Local Lore M. T. Byukhanova, director of the Uilsky Regional Museum of Art and Regional History named after. Sh. Bersieva Rysbaeva B. T. (Zoom platform) They introduced young people to the multifaceted talent of the scientist, talked about the life and work and spiritual heritage of the honored figure of the country.
The event was attended by teachers and students of Aktobe and Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Medical Colleges named after Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova, members of the national educational club “Elmura”, and library staff.
During the event, a book exhibition “Onegeli Omir Ornegi” was organized, and poems by poets dedicated to the scientist I. Karagulov were read.
