As part of the regional campaign “Oqityn Olke – 2026” (“Reading Region – 2026”), the works of prominent representatives of Kazakh literature — Bakir Tazhibayev and Yertay Ashikbayev — were selected.

Bakir Tazhibayev
A poet, playwright, singer, and composer, Bakir Tazhibayev is a figure who made a significant contribution to Kazakh art and literature. His works widely reflect themes of love for the native land, morality, and national spirit. In his poetry, motifs of love are often heard — not of primitive passion, but of a deep, respectful feeling, loyalty, and devotion.

Yertay Ashikbayev
A poet, recipient of the “Qurmet” Order, and laureate of the International Literary Prize “Alash”, Yertay Ashikbayev is one of the prominent representatives of modern Kazakh poetry. His works clearly trace the themes of the breath of the times, national existence, and spiritual search. The poet’s works are distinguished by purity of language and artistic mastery.

Within the framework of this campaign, reading the works of these writers contributes to enhancing the literary taste of the younger generation and fostering a spirit of patriotism.
