A meeting with the master of applied art, member of the Union of Artists and Craftsmen of Kazakhstan, holder of the UNESCO Quality Mark Certificate Yerkosai Abilov was held in the Aktobe Universal Scientific Library named after S. Baishev. During the meeting "Koloner - syrly oner" master craftsman Abilov Yerkosai Kozhbanuly spoke about the intricacies of crafts that have a centuries-old history and have been passed down from generation to generation. He spoke about the demand for the position and the results on the path of developing traditional national art in the world of crafts, shared plans for the future, and also answered questions from readers. The event was attended by labor training teachers of city schools, deputy director for educational work of Secondary School No. 40 Kobylandina Maira Zhumayevna, students of the Aktobe College of Transport, Communications and New Technologies. At the meeting, zhyrau, terme and kyui “Tolgau, tolgau sozder bar”, “Adai” were performed by Symbat Nauryzbek, a student of the Aktobe Music College named after Akhmet Zhubanov, and Temirlan Tankenov, a student of the 8th “G” of secondary school No. 40. During the event, a book exhibition “Kolonerdin de kupiyasy bar” was organized. The exhibition featured books by Shaizada Zhapparkyzy Tokhtabaeva “Kazakhtyn zergerlik oneri”, the album “Temirshi Ustalar” by the brothers Tursynzhan, Mahmut and Aitbergen Kulmenov, a two-volume album “Zergerlik oner alemi”, as well as books about Aktobe artisans.
