On December 3, as part of the republican campaign "Bir el-bir kitap", a reading conference "Ozgeshe oily kalamger" was held dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh writer, a classic of children's literature Berdibek Sokpakbayev, whose anniversary is included in the UNESCO Calendar of Memorable Dates. The event was attended by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, senior lecturer of the Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azi Esentugel Amankeldyuly, Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Authors of Kazakhstan Baktygali Zhumalyuly Zhumalin, teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of the secondary school named after Zh. Tashenov No. 68 Samal Kairatkyzy Sarkulova and teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of the secondary school No. 74 Zhanna Askarkyzy Razakova.
The conference discussed the life and work of Berdibek Sokpakbayev, a writer who was one of the greatest figures in Kazakh literature of the 20th century, who left a bright mark on world literature, as well as his works, which have a deep spiritual and historical meaning. During the event, a book exhibition "Elim dep sokkan zhuregi" was organized, where famous works of the writer were presented, a bibliographic review was conducted. A video clip "Khalky suygen kalamger" and a theatrical performance based on the famous work "Menin atym Kozha" were shown. Baktygali Zhumalin performed the song "Bakyt degen" and held a quiz "Gazhayyp oreis" among readers. Librarian Gulnaziya Abylaykyzy Omarkhanova gave an overview of the writer's latest, little-known and rarely discussed work "Ergezheyli eline sayakhat". The event was attended by teachers and students from School No. 37, Secondary School No. 68 named after Zh. Tashenov and Secondary School No. 74, as well as library readers.
