On February 20, within the framework of the project "Tarihy teren Aktobe" a historical and educational evening "Tarazy akyn" was organized, dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the poetess Taraza Kalenkyzy. The purpose of the event is to popularize the life and work of the daughter-in-law of Yeset Batyr Kotibaruly, the poetess Taraza. The participants of the meeting were professor, doctor of philological sciences, academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Zhumanazar Asan, chairman of the Yeset Batyr Kotibaruly Foundation, "Best Local History" of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Citizen of the Shalkar District Amangali Mukhambetulin, member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanatbay Eleusizuly, singer (zhyrshy) Demeubay Zholymbetov and other representatives of the intelligentsia. The event was also attended by the descendants of the poet Taraza Zhetes Bekmurzin, Kuanyshbay Kumisbayev, Kamarsulu Kiyasova.
During the event, the guests spoke about the courage and intelligence of the poet Tarazi, and also noted that her human nature will serve as an example for generations. Among them, Kanatbay Eleusizuly spoke about the history of the restoration of the grave of the batyrs Yeset-Daribay in 1993.
During the event, library employee Balagul Bakiyeva conducted a bibliographic review of the book exhibition "Tarikh torindegi Taraza", presented to readers the video "Aktobenin kieli zherleri", a photo-historical slide. The library readers Fariza Dabidbekkyzy, Muratova Zhuzim read the poems "Tuma-tuystaryga shygaryp bergen zhoktauynan", dedicated to Yeset Kotibaruly, the singer Demeubay Zholymbetov performed the aitys of the poets Taraz and Sarysholak, a lament (zhoktau) dedicated to Yeset batyr. At the end of the evening, the library director Sulushash Khakimova thanked all the readers and the descendants of the poet.
