Syrymdy aytayynshy

Today, as part of the regional "Oqityn ölke" campaign, a literary evening, "Syrymdy aytayynshy," was held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of writer, satirist, and journalist Umbetbay Uaydin.

The event was attended by writer, satirist, and member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Torezhan Mandibay; poet, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, veteran of the field of education and culture, and academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlybek Kalauov; journalist, satirist, writer, and member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Ardak Konakbayeva; cultural figure of Kazakhstan, satirist, and laureate of the Umbetbay Uaydin Prize in satire, and director of the "Eki Ezu" humor and satire theater Nurlybek Zhubatkan; artistic director of the "Er Edige" poetry school; zhyrau, teacher Adilbek Sarin; and library readers and students.

The distinguished guests shared vivid memories of the writer's life and work. At the same time, they spoke extensively about Umbetbay Uaydin's personality, his human nature, and his mentoring care. His student, journalist Kamshat Abilkyzy, who came to the event from Almaty, fondly recalled her teacher's human qualities and moral deeds.

At the literary evening, Adilbek Sarin, director of the "Er Edige" poetry school, performed for the first time the song "Shalkar Waltz," which has become the Shalkar anthem. Students of the Aktobe Higher Humanitarian College, Nurgul Zhubatova, Akniet Abdimurat, and Aknur Sarsengalieva, read the satirist's poems "Bala - menin khoyzym, kumarym" and "Aqil. Sana." "Sabir" and "Gulmen Syrlasu" received applause. A student from the aforementioned college, Ansar Tanjarbay, performed humorous stories and satirical essays at his own level, creating a special atmosphere for the participants. A video clip by the writer's life partner and like-minded partner, Mariam Aldanova, was shown, revealing unforgettable memories. A book exhibition, "Umbetbaydan – Example," dedicated to the work of Umbetbay Uaydin, was also presented.

Summing up the event, library director Sulushash Khakimova noted that the satirist's spiritual legacy is an inexhaustible treasure for the younger generation and expressed her gratitude to all the guests and readers of the library.
