On November 21, the library staff of B. Momyshuly Secondary School No. 62 held a historical evening, "Oynagan bult ishinde naizagaidai" dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of military leader, writer, Hero of the Soviet Union, and People's Hero Bauyrzhan Momyshuly.
A renowned commander of the Great Patriotic War, People's Hero, and national pride of Kazakhstan, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly is known worldwide for his unparalleled courage in the Battle of Moscow. His military prowess, steadfast character, and reflections on combat discipline and patriotism remain relevant today. His works, "The Flying Nest" and "The Battle of Moscow," are a valuable legacy that has become part of the national spirituality.
The historic evening was attended by B.B. Myrzabayev, Chairman of the Regional Branch of the Union of Local Historians of Kazakhstan and "Best Local Historian of Kazakhstan," G.E. Yeleusinova, Associate Professor and Lecturer in the Department of General Pedagogy and Management in Education at K. Zhubanov Kazakh State University, and A.T. Kanymbayev, Deputy Director of B. Momyshuly State University No. 62 and Teacher of Kazakh Language and Literature. They presented reports on the hero's military career and heroic deeds, as well as the significance of his literary legacy.
During the event, high school students E. Baktygaliev recited B. Momyshuly's poem "Kairan Segiz," and B. Tolegen recited M. Makatayev's dedication, "Bauyrzhan Momyshulyna." S. Arystanbekova also delivered a speech.
At the event, teachers and students were presented with a bibliographic overview of the "Tulga Tagylymy" book exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the hero. A documentary film, "The Road of Life," was also shown, and a recording of "Roads of Fire and Blood," performed by B. Momyshuly himself, was played.
