On September 28, to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of the writer, publicist, translator Utebay Kanakhin, the conference “TALENT PEN TUTASTYK” was held.
The conference was attended by Deputy Akim of the Aktobe region Bulbul Eleusinova, Deputy Chairman of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasymkhan Begmanov, poet, laureate of the International Literary Prize "Alash" Nurzhan Kuantayuly, Director of the Aktobe regional branch of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Ertai Ashykbaev, Honored Journalist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, local historian Rakhimzhan Otemis, head regional branch of the Union of Local Historians of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bekarystan Myrzabay, author of historical books “Tagzym”, “Ake Amanaty” Abdirahmanov Talgat Zhumashuly, Master of Arts Gulzhainar Alashbaeva, brother of Utebay Kanakhin Abzal Bayman, relatives of Rim Abetov and other famous personalities.
During the event, the memoirs of the writer Utebay Kanakhin about the 1932 famine on Kazakh soil, filmed in August 1989 by the world's largest television and radio corporation BBC, were presented.
A bibliographic review of the book exhibition “Ken Tynysty Suretker” is presented. The book exhibition featured famous works of the writer. Among them are “Murager”, “Auyr kunderde”, “Kudiret”, “Kart sarbaz hikayasi” and others. In addition, books about the history and personalities of the Aktobe region were placed at the book exhibition on the topics “Aktobe - a blessed place”, “Aktobe - a place of heroes”.
