On October 12, with the public association “Rasul Gamzatov Foundation” (Russian Federation, Republic of Dagestan), as part of the “Literature without Borders” project, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Dagestan poet Rasul Gamzatov, she organized an international online evening “Rasul Gamzatov - Singer of Goodness and Humanity.”
The purpose of the event is to get acquainted with the life and priceless poetic heritage of the famous Dagestan poet R. Gamzatov, through his poetry to cultivate kindness, humanity, love for the Motherland and great interest in literature. Development of intercultural dialogue and strengthening of mutual understanding between peoples.
The participants of the evening were the director of the Rasul Gamzatov Foundation (RF, Republic of Dagestan) Magomed Gaidarbegov, expert of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Youth Prize "Daryn", doctoral student of the Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilyov Bekzat Smagulov, poetess Malika Tugilova, chairman of the ethnocultural society Aktobe region of the peoples of Dagestan “Dagestan” Daazi Omarov, journalist of the regional newspaper “Aktobe Vestnik” Tatyana Vinogradova and others. At the evening, library readers Robert Kosovsky, Laura Bazarbay, Madina Kulbaeva, Adilzhan Temirbolat read poems by R. Gamzatov “Take care of mothers”, “Take care of friends”, “I am in love with hundreds of girls”, translations into Kazakh language “Sary zhapyrak”. Also, the Suleymanov sisters Diana and Ruzana read poems in the Avar language and sang a song based on the words of Rasul Gamzatov “Cranes”.
During the event, librarians conducted a bliographic review of the book exhibition “We live to leave a mark...” and presented the slide “Our Dagestan.”
