On February 22, a poetry evening “Ak borandai duldul akyn” was held, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the talented poet, translator, journalist, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan I. Mambetov.
At the event, the chief specialist of the department of culture, archives and documentation of the Aktobe region U.Moldagaliyeva, the poet, director of the Aktobe regional branch of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan B. Kurmankulov, poet, laureate of the International Prize "Alash", winner of Order of “Kurmet”, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Ush Tagan” E. Ashykbaev, poet, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan T. Tileules.
Also taking part on the Zoom platform from Astana was Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages at the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University (KazATZU) named after S. Seifullin, Candidate of Philological Sciences Tilectes Toksanbaeva. She suggested studying the poet's translation side in detail. Close relatives of the epic poet R. Baytasov, G. Kabivkin, G. Algabekov shared their memories and expressed warm wishes.
In addition, the poetess, translator, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan G. Abishkyzy read her dedication “Mambetov any mangilik bolsyn...”. The head of the Alga regional children's library named after I. Mambetov A. Iztleuova spoke about the history of naming the library after the poet, about the competition “Iztai oculars” - “Iztai readings” and other events.
During the event, library staff conducted a bibliographic review of the book exhibition “Tabantaldan Shykkan Talent”. They presented a photo-historical slide and a video about I. Mambetov filmed by the AQTÓBE TV channel. Students of the KT-215 group of the Aktobe Higher Humanitarian College read the poems of I. Mambetov, the famous poems of K. Simonov, “Wait for me, and I will return...”, the German poet Heine’s “Hymn” translated by I. Mambetov.
Library reader B. Allambergenov read the poet’s poem “Men akynmyn” - “I am a poet.”
At the poetry evening, student of the Aktobe Music College A. Aidargalikyzy performed Sh. Kaldayakov’s beautiful song “Karakoz”, written to the words of I. Mambetov. The song of the famous composer, excellent student of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the “Eren Enbegi” medal O. Baysengir “Akyn monologues” was performed, to the words of I. Mambetov.
