Aktobe Regional Universal Scientific Library named after S. Baisheva, on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the music critic, ethnographer, composer Alexander Viktorovich Zataevich, is holding a round table on the topic: “Kazakhtyn and Kazynasyn zhinaktaushy”
The purpose of the event: to popularize the heritage of the outstanding folklorist, collector of Kazakh folk songs and kyuis A.V. Zataevich, who made a huge contribution to the promotion of Kazakh song art at the beginning of the 20th century. At the round table they talked about the life and work of Alexander Zataevich, as a person who for the first time significantly and on a large scale told the world about the greatness and beauty of the centuries-old unique culture of the Kazakh people. He collected the richest and unique in terms of quantity and artistic value of the musical heritage of the Kazakhs. The event was attended by Associate Professor of the Aktobe Regional University. K. Zhubanova, candidate of pedagogical sciences, member of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukeeva Nurzhamal Ersayynkyzy, she spoke about the works of A. Zataevich, highly appreciating his titanic work and contribution to the universal spiritual treasury and to modern musical culture and folklore. Library reader, retired teacher Zhaksylykova Sholpan Zhaiylkhankyzy shared her memories; she said that her grandfather, a native of the village of Kopa, Khromtau region, Zhezdibaev Kuandyk Altynbaevich (later registered with his father Altynbaev) met Alexander Viktorovich Zataevich during his student years in the city. According to his memoirs, Alexander Viktorovich Zataevich was impressed by the song “Karidai-au” he performed, and he decided to collect Kazakh songs, thereby becoming a small contribution to the huge work - the collection “Kazakhtyn 1000 Ani”. At the event, the collected musical works of A. Zataevich were performed by a 2nd year master's student of the music education program at Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanova Yeraly Kunim on the kobyz. At the event, the book exhibition “Kazak sazynyn kyzgysh kusy” was presented, and the video “Omir Zholy” was shown. The event was attended by students of Aktobe Regional University named after. K. Zhubanov, Aktobe Music College named after. A. Zhubanov, Aktobe Humanitarian College and Aktobe Multidisciplinary College of ASU “Tarlan”, students of the music school.
