On February 17, as part of the regional campaign “Oqytyn Olke”, a literary evening titled “Zhryym – Pyragym” was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet, playwright, singer, and composer Bakir Tazhibayev.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Public Association “Aktobe Regional Society of the Disabled” Almaz Zhantikenov, fellow countrywoman of the poet Sailash Sagieva, Executive Director of the Public Association “Industry of Inclusive Services ‘Inva Park’” Gulmira Srazheva, as well as members of the society. The guests spoke about the significance of the event and highlighted the unique features of the poet’s works, emphasizing the beauty of his thoughts and the magic of his words.
During the evening, the host Amanzhol Islamgali presented an excerpt from the documentary film “Tagdyr Zholy”, dedicated to the life and creative journey of the writer. The poet’s son, Zhasulan Tazhibayev, expressed his gratitude to the participants via a video message from Almaty.
The audience enjoyed recitations of the poet’s works “Oylasan meni…”, “Dala turaly zhyr”, and “Men ozim”, performed by students of the Aktobe Higher Humanitarian College — Zhibek Almas, Tomila Kovalchuk, and Dilyara Asimbekova. The hall also joined in singing the composer’s well-known songs.
Library staff member Ryszhan Karagulova presented a bibliographic review of the book exhibition “An men zhyrdyn Akbulagy”, dedicated to the writer’s works. The evening concluded with the performance of the composer’s famous songs “Akbulak” and “Inkarym-ai”.
