On March 18, on the eve of the Nauryz holiday – the beginning of the year, within the framework of the Week «Shattyk Kuni», a defile of national costumes «Ulttyk kiim –urpakka mura» was held. The event was attended by cultural workers, students of the Aktobe College of Service and library readers who got acquainted with the culture of clothing of the Kazakh people, the best samples of national clothing were demonstrated.

On March 16, the staff of the S.Baishev Aktobe Regional Universal Scientific Library held a festive event «Nauryz – duman» dedicated to «Ulystyn uly kuni», which means «Great Day of the People» in Russian. During the event, national values and traditions that are the roots of our nation were promoted. With the participation of the library staff, the forgotten customs and traditions of «Bie kysiramas», «Kursakshashu», «Ashamayga mingizu», «Abysyn asy» were demonstrated, songs were performed, contests and quizzes dedicated to national values were held.

On March 4, the Department of Local History Literature of the Library held an educational conference «Tarikh tolkynyndagy Aktobe oniri», dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Aktobe region (1932). The opening speech of the conference was given to the head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Aktobe region Makhanova G.

On March 3, staff of the Readers Service Department organized an event «Onerim - omirim», a meeting with the artist, laureate of republican competitions, member of the national educational club «Elmura», director of the art school «Arai» Arailym Abatkyzy Myrzabekova.  During the event, Arailym Abatkyzy introduced library readers to her work, to the work of the Arai art school, which was opened with the aim of instilling in children a love for art, revealing their creative potential and forming a positive attitude towards culture.

The department of local history literature organized an evening of poetry "Akyn zhyry - zhurek syry", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding representative of Kazakh poetry, the poet Sabit Baimoldin. Rauken Otynshin, director of Aktobe Media LLP, delivered an opening speech. E.Ashikbaev, a well-known poet, laureate of the International Literary Prize "Alash", editor-in-chief of the magazine "Ush Tagan", spoke about the poet's books.

   The Coworking center of the regional universal scientific library named after S. Baishev hosted a poetry event "Zhyrlaydy zhurek" with the participation of the school of radio journalism "Aisyn", dedicated to the birthday of poet M.Makatayev.

On December 13, the opening ceremony of the book festival «Tugyry biik Tauelsizdik» was held in the shopping and entertainment center «Keruen City», dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our sovereignty. The event was opened by Deputy akim of Aktobe region B. Yeleussinova and continued with a festive evening «Tauelsizdikke Tartu». During the evening, the winners of the Republican literary online marathon «Azattyktyn ak tany», dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, were awarded with valuable gifts, diplomas and letters of thanks.

On December 8, within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, American corner Aktobe provided an intellectual competition «Three languages is nowadays requestment». The intellectual competition was attended by teachers and students of 9-11 grades of schools # 60, 61, 75 and Kargaly school named after M. Aryn.

On December 3, according to the organization of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Aktobe region, the Department of Education of the Aktobe region, a literary and musical evening «Gasyr zhyrlagan – gazhap akyn» was held in the hall of the Academy of Creativity, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the master of Kazakh oral and poetic art Zhambyl Zhabayev. The event was attended by representatives of the Akimat of Aktobe region, representatives of the intelligentsia of the city, poets and writers, journalists, librarians.

On November 17, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independent Kazakhstan, the staff of the Department of Literature on Art of the regional universal scientific Library named after S. Baishev held a literary event on the theme «Uly dalanyn Ulyk merekesi». Independence is a victory won by the blood and sweat of the people. One of the main goals of the event is to educate readers, young people, a sense of patriotism, love for the Motherland, land, language, courage, morality, respect for religion, the history of the Kazakh people. In her speech, the director of the library, Raimbayeva Kuralai Serikovna, congratulated the audience and readers on the holiday and shared the achievements in the library industry since gaining sovereignty.
