On March 16, to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of the writer Utebay Kanakhin, chosen as part of the regional action “Okityn Olke”, a literary evening “Zamana Perzenti” was held together with the Irgiz regional library.
At the event, the honored journalist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, local historian Otemis Rakymzhan, brother of the writer Utebay Kanakhin Bayman Abzal shared their memories, the director of the Irgiz regional centralized library system, member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Myrzaly introduced a letter to “Rakhymzhan, Zakirzhan, Marat”, written by the writer himself. Deputy Director for Educational Work No. 69, teacher of Kazakh languages and literature Alashbaeva Gulzhainar made a report on the literary heritage of the writer, Master of Arts, teacher of Kazakh language and literature No. 1 of school in the Irgiz district Zholaeva Asemgul made a report on the use of phraseological units in the story-essay “ Ata konys" and donated to the library a methodological manual on the topic "Otebay Kanakhin shyғarmalaryn okytudyn korkemdіk manyyzy". Students of the Aisyn School of Radio Journalism expressively read poems dedicated to the writer, composer, employee of Shygarmashylyk Academy Nurtalap Zhusipov performed songs. The participants of the evening were teachers of the Kazakh language and literature from the Aktobe secondary school, students of the ARU named after K. Zhubanov, the Higher College of European Economics, Business and Law, and the Aktobe Humanitarian College. During the event, a bibliographic review of the book exhibition “Ken tynysty suretker” was conducted and a slide was demonstrated.

An evening meeting was held dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of the poet, member of the Union of Writers and Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, art critic, veteran of the field of education and culture, academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlybek Kalauov “ARDAGER AZAMAT, ARDAKTY AKYN”.
The poet was congratulated on his anniversary by the head of the Aktobe regional department of culture, archives and documentation Altynai Yunisova, the poet, editor-in-chief of the Ush Tagan magazine, director of the Aktobe regional branch of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Ertai Ashykbaev. Professor D.Sc. shared about the poet’s work and his contribution to literature. ARU named after K. On March 2, the republican scientific-theoretical conference "Education of the history of Abulkhair Khan" was held, dedicated to the 330th anniversary of the great commander, politician, hero, Khan the younger Abulkhair Muhammed Gazi Bahadur Khan.

On February 21, library staff held a round table “Batyr, Sheshen, Kolbasshy” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Syrym Datovich. The event was attended by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Abdullaev Nurtaza Akishanovich, Master of Historical Sciences, history teacher of secondary school No. 47 Kalyshev Kalatyr Kanatovich, history teacher of Kazakh secondary school No. 36 Bulbul Amirkhanovna, history teacher of the Aktobe boarding school for gifted children Baybosynova Asylai Bekbolatovna, history teacher of Kazakh secondary school No. 74 Zhabaeva Indira Maratovna, history teacher of the Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College Zhanbyrbaeva Zharkynay Nagimetyarovna, was present, who spoke in detail about the place of Syrym Batyr in the history of Kazakhstan. On December 13, a literary evening «Kaisar kyzy halkynyn» was organized devoted to 80th birthday of Bibigul Imangazina, writer, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, winner of the «Kurmet» and «Parasat» orders, the president of the «Bibi-Ana» charity fund.

On December 8, there was held a literary hour «Alashtyn Akseleui» dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding scientist-writer, doctor of philology, professor, ethnographer, journalist, researcher, laureate of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honored worker of Kazakhstan Seidimbek Аkseleu Slanuly.

On December 7, devoted to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held the event «Tauelsizdiktin tugury biik» with members of the public association «Zheltoksan alauy» in the S. Baishev Aktobe regional universal scientific library.

On November 24, a regional seminar-meeting among librarians was held on the topic: «Kitaphana kyzmetinin negizgi bagyttary: zhosparlau zhane esep beru». During the seminar, issues arising during the preparation of the annual plan and report of the library were discussed.
