On August 14, within the framework of the YMYRTTAGY KITAPHANA project, a presentation of a new book by a young writer who attracts public attention in the world of literature with his ideas, innovation and original style, winner of the Talasbek-2023 award, winner of the Eren Enbegi Ushin medal, Alikhan Zhaksylyk "Afrikadan Alaska" was organized. Famous poets, writers, representatives of the intelligentsia, and library readers took part in the event. Writers Ardak Konakbayeva, Nurlybek Zhubatkan, and poetess Gulimai Abishkyzy also expressed their warm wishes to the young writer. Alikhan Zhaksylyk is the author of the stories "Alty Kurlyk", "Tört Mukhit". He is also the author of the novel "What is the meaning of Notre Dame?", which was published in 2024 in English in London. On June 4, as part of the Book Festival 2024, a presentation of the new book by writer Madi Raimov, “The Guardian,” took place. During the event, readers got acquainted with the writer’s work.
